Freemasons from different lodges of Nagpur
across their respective constitutions reminds
about the VII World Conference of Masonic
Grand Lodges held at Santiago, Chile in June
2004 where it was decided to celebrate June
24 as the Universal Brotherhood Day. The
day is observed to commemorate the
formation of Grand Lodge of England, when
Freemasonry in its present form took shape
302 years ago on this very date in 1717.
The Freemasons Hall was opened for public
in the morning from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The masonic temple was shown and queries
were answered by R.W.Bro. Sarosh Dordi
and R.W. Bro. Swadesh Bhargava. They
were ably assisted by W.Bro. Rajeev Parkhi.
For UBD 2019 a wide coverage was received
from the Electronic Media including UCN
channel specially showing the footage of the
event. The leading English Daily 'The
Hitavada' and “The Times of India” gave some
informative news for the public.

W.Bro. Shyam Sule, W.Bro. Sudhakar
Mhasatkar, R.W.Bro. Mangesh Shastri,
V.W.Bro.Tarun Shrivastava and other
officers of GLI, RGWLI, Masters and
Secretaries of different lodges and a large
number of non-Masons were present on the

occasion.
W.Bro. Vinayak Kewadkar introduced Grand
Master. The proceedings of the function were
conducted by Bro. Anuj Hamilton. W.Bro.
Anjan Biswas proposed a vote of thanks.
The program ended with National Anthem.

Since over a decade doing regular charity to
Shree Manav Seva Sang for the Education
purpose. On annual basis we sponsor for the
education of three girls and extra two girls on
the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day.
This year, on the occasion of Universal
Brotherhood Day, the Cheque for Rs 15000/-
was presented to Shree Manav Seva Sangh
towards sponsorship of education for 2 Girls
in the presence of our Treasurer,
W.Bro.Chatanya U Shah accompanied by
his wife and R.W.Bro. M. N. Wadhwa.
The Institution do not permit any photographs
of the girls but the cheque of Rs 15000/- for
the 2 Girls and Rs.7500/- of another girl
whose regular dues falling around the same
time was presented to the In Charge at Shree
Manav Seva Sangh, Sion, Mumbai.
Further, we are also pleased to add that
R.W.Bro. M. M. Amalsadvala an Honorary
Member of our Lodge Ashok No.122 has
raised funds for treatment of 18 Children
suffering from Cancer. The amount of fund
raised by him is over 3.5 Lakh during the Year.
All the Children will be treated at Tata
Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
