Make thou the record truly, Freemasonry's a thing of love.
With close and anxious care.
The labors on the busy stage, — Make thou the record swiftly, —
At every step, — from age to age! Time's scythe is sweeping fast
Our life, dissolving deftly,
Make thou the record plainly, — Will soon, ah, soon, be past.
How oft does error lurk! And may a Generous Eye o'erlook
Herein our children mainly Our record in the Heavenly Book!
Will read their fathers' work.
